Michael Garlington is an acclaimed Northern California photographer and master printer. He began shooting his own images while working at Spindler Photography, a lab in San Francisco that caters to the finest photographers working today. He first became involved with Burning Man while volunteering for the Black Rock City Department of Public Works (DPW), since then he has gone on to become one of the most anticipated artists at Burning Man.
The PhotoChapel was a 40′ tall Gothic Chapel covered in original photographs taken by Mike Garlington and relief sculpture assemblage. It took him 4 months to create this intricate and large interactive structure. It was burned on Saturday, August 31, 2013.
